AdBlue at Scot Agri
AdBlue is a premium urea solution utilized in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from UK diesel engines.
This solution is increasingly common in diesel machinery and vehicles, with its use expected to rise as emissions regulations tighten.
It consists of high-purity urea dissolved in de-mineralized water, making it clear, non-toxic, and safe to handle. AdBlue is non-explosive, non-flammable, and environmentally friendly. Scot Agri AdBlue falls under the lowest risk category for transportable fluids, it is neither a fuel nor a fuel additive and must be used in a dedicated tank in heavy-duty vehicles. Refilling AdBlue is similar to refueling diesel and if you spill Scot Agri AdBlue on your skin, simply rinse it off with water.
Scot Agri AdBlue is available at all our Scot Agri depots across Scotland and the North of England, in sizes ranging from 10 litres to 1000 liters IBCs. Contact us for pricing details.
On average, Scot Agri AdBlue consumption is about 5% of diesel usage, though this may vary depending on the specific machine or vehicle.
Scot Agri AdBlue can be stored for up to 18 months if kept away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It should be stored in a sealed package in a well-ventilated area.
