Massey Ferguson has taken yet another step to reinforce its ranking in this range. In doing this, a new hydrostatic transmission model has been introduced with brand new features including electrical cruise control, max speed adjustment and powered by either three or four-cylinder models.
Massey Ferguson have given the user a choice between a three-cylinder turbo and a four-cylinder engine. Both options offer 38 HP and 46 HP respectively. The 1740 and the 1747 in this range are offered with either a Hydrostatic or Mechanical 12 x 12 transmission.
The Massey Ferguson 1700 range provides a choice of either cab or platform. The interior of the cab is designed to be particularly comfortable and provides excellent visibility for the user whilst remaining very operator friendly. A new category 2 factory-fitted cab with reduced noise levels offering drivers a quieter environment – this is available on the MF 1740 and MF 1747 hydrostatic models. A new integrated beacon harness and dedicated switch, which offers convenience, are now part of the standard equipment on both models. The new addition of rear-view mirrors has been fitted on both sides on the full MF 1700 range and offers improved visibility and safety. Two hand grips and a footstep on the left side of the tractor have been added and offer operators safe and easy access into the cab or onto the platform. This is available on the full MF 1700 range.
Models with hydrostatic transmission come standard with mid-mounted PTO. The rear mounted PTO drive is 540rpm as well as a 540 Eco as a standard with both the MF 1740 and MF 1747 models. Both models come with a standard Cat. 1 three-point linkage with a maximum lift capacity of 1400 kg. A new external PTO switch on the rear fender enables safe and convenient use of the PTO for stationary tasks such as wood chipping. This is available on the MF 1740 and MF 1747 models.
