Scot Agri is delighted to welcome Stuart Pringle to the team as our new Agricultural Sales Representative at our Carlisle depot!

A Strong Background in Agriculture

With a lifelong connection to the agricultural industry, Stuart brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. Growing up in Carlisle, where his father worked as a vet for many years, agriculture has always been a big part of his life.

Over the years, Stuart has built up extensive experience across a variety of roles within the industry, from stock control and machinery export to business admin. This broad background has given him a strong understanding of both the operational and commercial sides of agriculture, naturally leading him into a customer-facing sales role.

A People-Focused Role

What Stuart enjoys most about working in agriculture is simple – the people. He thrives on building connections and takes real satisfaction from working with new customers and growing relationships.

‘I get a buzz out of selling machines… especially working with new customers and bringing them into the business,’ he explained.

Putting Customers First

For Stuart, strong customer relationships are at the heart of everything he does. His approach is centred around honest communication, listening carefully, and delivering a reliable service from start to finish.

‘Talking and listening is the biggest thing… it’s about bonding with people and building that long-term relationship,’ he says.

He also recognises that selling a machine is just one part of the journey. From aftersales support to finance and ongoing service, ensuring customers feel supported at every stage is what truly matters.

Why Scot Agri?

A key factor for Stuart is the strength of the JCB product range, combined with Scot Agri’s commitment to putting customers first.

‘The product is a big thing… but also the company ethos of putting the customer first,’ he noted.

Stuart’s also been particularly impressed by the level of support across the business, highlighting the willingness of colleagues to share knowledge and offer guidance as he continues to develop in his role.

Early Success

Despite being relatively new to the role, Stuart has already achieved a standout milestone – securing a JCB 538-60 DualTech sale out of Carlisle to a customer new to JCB.

‘It’s his first experience of JCB, which makes it even more rewarding,’ he shared.

Stuart credits the strong teamwork within Scot Agri, particularly the support from colleagues, as a key factor in helping deliver success early on.

Stuart is fully committed to building his presence in the area and developing long-term relationships. With a clear vision for the future, he sees this role as a long-term journey.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of work, Stuart enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf, and watching football, making the most of his downtime when he’s not out meeting customers.

Will Fleming, Agricultural Director, added, ‘we’re delighted to welcome Stuart to the team. His industry experience, customer-focused approach and drive make him a great addition to Scot Agri.’

Welcome to the team, Stuart!
