Scot Agri is committed to the safety and wellbeing of their customers. To ensure machinery is working correctly we offer a comprehensive thorough inspection (LOLER) (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) examination for all agricultural lifting machinery.
Get your LOLER inspection for only £150+VAT within 25 miles of your local depot*.
A thorough examination or LOLER is required for all agricultural lifting equipment annually by law. The examination ensures that the machinery is safe to use which helps to prevent accidents and maintains high safety standards for your business. It is also a requirement of many insurance policies.
There are seven steps to complete a LOLER examination:
Pre-examination Prep: Reviewing the equipment’s service history and previous LOLER reports.
Visual Inspection: Identify any visual defects or damage to structural components of the machine.
Functional Testing: Checking the operation of controls, safety devices, brakes and alarms.
Load Testing: Carry out tests to verify that the machine can safely handle the maximum load specified.
Check Attachments: Inspect all attachments for compatibility, wear or damage if required.
Documentation & Reporting: All findings are documented, and any issues identified. If the equipment passes the inspection a report and certificate is issued.
Post Examination Follow-Up: Ensure any defects are fixed, then conduct a re-inspection before the machine is put back to work.

JCB LiveLink: Frequently Asked Questions
JCB LiveLink is an advanced fleet management tool that provides real-time, remote monitoring for agricultural machinery.
JCB LiveLink is a telematics platform. It tracks a machine's live location through GPS, as well as machine health, maintenance alerts, operating hours, fuel usage and more. You can access this information via the LiveLink app or online through the web portal.
JCB LiveLink gives you detailed telemetry on operating efficiency, fuel burn and idle time. Customers using LiveLink have cut idle time by up to 16%, translating directly into fuel savings. Less idle time also eases the strain between services and helps protect your machine's resale value further down the line.
The Asset Tag is a small Bluetooth 5.0 device that fits to attachments, accessories or non-powered equipment with no wiring needed. It transmits an encrypted signal every 10 seconds with a line-of-sight range of up to 800m, picked up by nearby LiveLink-enabled machines or connected partner devices. A 4+ year battery life and rugged IP69K rating mean it needs little upkeep once fitted.
Yes. LiveLink's mixed fleet integration brings machinery of any make, model or size into one platform, so you are not tracking JCB kit separately from the rest of your fleet. It works through your own API feeds, giving you real-time insights and one clear picture of your whole operation, whatever brand is on the bonnet.
LiveLink keeps watch over your machines around the clock. Geofencing lets you set a virtual boundary around a site or machine and get an alert the moment it is crossed, while out of hours alerts flag any use outside the times you set, often a sign of unauthorised access. Tamper alerts also notify you if a unit stops receiving power, which can be an early sign someone is trying to disable it.
LiveLink's health and uptime alerts are sent straight through to our team, so we can often spot a developing issue before it causes downtime. This plugs into JCB's wider network of Uptime Centres and dealers, so routine maintenance, remote diagnostics and parts support are coordinated from the alerts your machine sends. You can also raise and track support cases directly through the LiveLink app.
Yes. JCB LiveLink comes as standard on all new JCB machines, giving you full access to the telematics platform, uptime alerts and dealer support from day one, with no extra kit to fit or subscription to arrange.
