Introducing the7S MARK 2 MF Tractor Range

If you've been running an MF 7S and wondering what comes next, or you need a tractor with a bit more muscle without stepping up to the MF 8S Xtra, the new Massey Ferguson MF 7S MARK 2 is one to keep an eye on. Announced on 30th September 2026, it's a range of six models from 170hp to 245hp that slots in between the current MF 7S and the larger MF 8S Xtra.

A few headline numbers to start you off:

  • 170-245hp and up to 1,184Nm of torque from a new AGCO Power 7.5-litre, six-cylinder engin

  • Dyna-VT transmission as standard on every model, with a top speed of up to 57kph depending on spec

  • 9.6t rear lift and hydraulic flow of up to 190 litres/mi

  • A brand-new cab with a 12in Datatronic 6 touchscreen

Interesting Fact: The name is a nod to Massey Ferguson's history. 'MARK' first appeared on the MF 65 MARK I and MARK II and the MF 165 MARK III, and MF will now use it to mark series updates across its whole line-up.

Worth knowing: the current MF 7S isn't going anywhere, it stays in the range. Full production and first deliveries of the MF 7S MARK 2 begin in spring 2027, so now's a good time to start the conversation if it's on your radar.

The bigger tanks mean longer days between fill-ups, which makes a real difference at silage time or on a long run of cultivation work.

The longer wheelbase adds stability and cuts the amount of front ballast you need for large rear implements, while a new front axle still gives you a tight 5.3m turning radius.

Power & Performance of the MF 7S MARK 2 Tractors

Under the bonnet of every MF 7S MARK 2 is:

  • A new AGCO Power CORE75 engine, a 7.5-litre six-cylinder with a single turbo. It has 25% fewer parts than the engines it replaces, which Massey Ferguson says is aimed at better long-term reliability.

  • Stage V compliance without exhaust gas recirculation, so there's one less system to think about.

  • Maximum power at 1,900rpm and maximum torque at 1,500rpm, with a flat torque curve between 800 and 1,500rpm on all models.

That flat torque curve is the reason there's no EPM (Engine Power Management) on these tractors. The power and torque are there across a wide engine speed band without needing a boost, and MF reports that early field tests showed improved fuel efficiency compared with the previous engine.

Running costs also benefit from the bigger tanks: 410 litres of fuel and 56.5 litres of AdBlue as standard, so you can get through a long day without heading back to the yard.

Built to Put the Power Down

Two new 2m-diameter rear tyre sizes have been developed for these tractors from the BKT AGRIMAX V-FLECTO range: VF 650/70 R42 and VF 710/60 R44, both paired with VF 600/65 R30 fronts. The aim is good grip and a large footprint, with less soil compaction for a tractor of this power and weight.

With a 14t gross vehicle weight, the MF 7S MARK 2 can also legally transport the heaviest implements.

MF 7S MARK 2 Transmission, PTO & Hydraulics

Every model gets the two-range MF Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission, so there's no choosing between gearbox options this time. Top speed is up to 57kph depending on spec, handy if you're spending a fair bit of the day on the road between fields.

ParkLock and an emergency brake come as standard, both new features on this range.

PTO and Hydraulics

  • A four-speed PTO is standard across the range.

  • Closed-centre, load-sensing pump options deliver 110, 150 or 190 litres/min, so you can match the hydraulics to the kit you run.

  • The transmission and hydraulic oil reservoirs are separate, giving you 96 litres of hydraulic oil capacity for the largest trailers and implements

  • A 9.6t rear lift is standard on all six models.

Valve options: Efficient and Exclusive

How the valves are set up depends on which specification you go for:

  • Efficient tractors can have up to four hydraulic valves, either all mechanical or, in a configuration only Massey Ferguson offers, a mix of mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves with decompression levers for easy connection.

  • Exclusive tractors can have up to five electric valves, each delivering up to 120 litres/min, all with decompression levers as standard.

A New Cab with Datatronic 6 & PTx FarmENGAGE

You'll be spending long days in this cab, so it's worth knowing what's changed. It's a redesigned version of the MF 8S cab, which has gone down well with operators since it was introduced, giving you 3.4m³ of cab space and 6.6m² of glass.

Massey Ferguson's Protect-U design puts a 15cm gap between the cab and the engine. That physical separation cuts the noise, vibration and heat reaching you, and it also lets the front wiper clean the full inclined windscreen. There's a new side wiper covering 72% of the window too.

Datatronic 6 terminal

The new Datatronic 6 is a 12in touchscreen, up from the 9in Datatronic 5 on the current MF 7S. It has a higher resolution for controls, guidance and data management, a redesigned layout that makes it quicker to get to key machine settings, and customisable viewing 'tiles' in three sizes.

Lighting, cameras and comfort

  • LED lighting as standard, with four upgrade packages up to a maximum of 27 LED lights (eight on the bonnet, 19 on the cab).

  • Up to four digital cameras, including front and rear, plus two more you can position on the tractor or on a trailer or implement.

  • 14 vents keep the cab at the right temperature, and optional Category 4 filtration gives protection during spraying

  • Generous storage, an optional fridge and a factory-fitted phone holder for the armrest or terminal rail.

Fancy a bit of music while you work? Options include large-diameter speakers and a base speaker that uses the front window to create its sound. There's also an optional Professional package with an external toolbox, inspection light, air supply outlet and air gun, plus more choices through MF By You.

PTx FarmENGAGE from the factory

The MF 7S MARK 2 is the first tractor to come with PTx FarmENGAGE fitted from the factory. It's farm operations management software that works with all machinery brands, so it's useful even if your fleet isn't all red. It transfers data wirelessly through the built-in telemetry system, and its Connectivity Centre lets you share tractor, machinery, field, cropping and task data by USB or through the Cloud.

On top of that, every model has access to Massey Ferguson's full technology package, including guidance, alongside the MF By You options.

Who is the MF 7S MARK 2 suited to?

If you're running a mixed, arable or livestock operation and need a 170-245hp tractor that can handle a full day of field work and road haulage, the MF 7S MARK 2 is built with that in mind. The 9.6t rear lift and up to 190 litres/min of hydraulic flow cover most heavy implements, and the 14t GVW lets you move them legally on the road.

It's also one to consider if you've outgrown your current MF 7S but don't need the size of an MF 8S Xtra. You get more power, bigger tanks and a cab built on the MF 8S design, in a tractor with a 2.95m wheelbase and 5.3m turning radius that still gets round tight yards and gateways.

And if your data matters as much as your horsepower, factory-fitted PTx FarmENGAGE and the 12in Datatronic 6 make it easier to keep track of what every machine on the farm is doing, whatever brand it is.
